Falls Intervention – Residential & Nursing Providers

This one-day course will cover how to respond to a fall, including practical skills with primary and secondary surveys. You will also gain confidence and empowerment to make a decision whether to phone for help or use your internal procedures to assist the person from the floor. This course will look at the benefits of evidence-based techniques and how these benefit older people, including reducing falls. This is being delivered in conjunction with the Ambulance Service.

  • Post fall observation
  • Best practice policy for providers
  • Falls checklist and working with urgent care
  • First-hand experience and knowledge from a NHS Paramedic
