Course description

This course aims to raise managers’ awareness of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, their role in ensuring compliance and to highlight the importance of adapting culture in order to support staff within the workplace.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course learners will be able to:

  • Identify what Equality, Diversity and Inclusion looks like in practice
  • Evaluate modelling behaviour in compliance with Equality, Diversity and Inclusion for Staff and The People You Support
  • Explore new ways of adapting and embedding an Equal and Diverse Climate

Requirements and expectations

Learners will be expected to be engaged in learning, participate in all activities including group discussions, share their own experiences of working in the care sector, whilst respecting confidentiality, and to share best practice examples
