Course Description 

This course will comprehensively cover the role of the first aider, which includes:

  • Health and Safety (first aid) regulations
  • Managing an emergency
  • Resuscitation (Adult CPR)
  • Communication and Casualty care
  • Seizures (Adult)
  • Bleeding (Minor and Severe)
  • Shock burns
  • Unresponsive casualty
  • Choking (Adult)
  • Defibrillator pad placement
  • Defibrillator prompts and how to respond

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, delegates will have met the requirements of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines as an EFAW.

Requirements and Suitability 

This course is suited for any person responsible for the First Aid within the work environment of any type of adult care service. Delegates can be of any level to complete this course as delegates are trained on the subject matter.
