Please see the easy read flyer below that you may wish to share with anyone you support in their own homes. The information on the flyer explains why it is important to have a fire check and how easy it is to get one. Your home care staff may want to support Service Users to set up appointments.
Herts County Council will soon also be releasing dates for home care staff to receive training in looking out for signs when they feel a service user is at risk from fire, and we will let you know these dates as soon as they become available. In the meantime, please share these flyers widely. Please also give them to staff to share with their own families as this service is available to anyone who is vulnerable.
