Executive Coaching

This support might appeal to a registered manager, nominated individual or a care business owner or leader in the care sector the care business seeking bespoke support to achieve a desired goal.

Good Leaders are essential to the success of any organisation, and this success is increasingly dependent on skills such as strategic thinking, innovation, and emotional intelligence. But development of senior leaders is often overlooked.

Executive coaching has proven to be effective in unlocking leadership potential and building relevant skills that will make a lasting impact. According to the Leadership & Organization Development Journal (2022) leadership effectiveness rose by 56% following executive coaching. Meeting one-on-one, the executive coach provides a safe, structured, and trustworthy environment in which to help managers find the resources within themselves to create sustainable transformation.

It gets lonely at the top: The higher a leader rises in a company, the lonelier it can become. Whether you are a manager who is performing fantastically and just need some extra support, or you need help tackling a new challenge, developing certain skills, or improving performance, HCPA’s Executive Coaching can offer you a range of benefits:

  • Regular, supportive supervision for managers in roles where they are often unsupervised.
  • Breaking from daily tasks to spend time reflecting on recent outcomes and future plans.
  • Help to develop new skills and competencies, as well as identifying areas for improvement.
  • Encouragement and guidance for managers to handle new responsibilities within their role.
  • Helping talented managers to continue to grow and take the next step.

HCPA offer Executive Coaching in the form of regular face-to-face sessions over an agreed short-term period to help you reach your chosen goals. The sessions are designed to improve workplace performance by focusing on the specific goals set, and the competencies and skills required to achieve them.

There are currently 5 funded x 60 min sessions on offer and it is suggested intervals of between 1-4 weeks between sessions works best.

If additional sessions are required, you can buy these at a cost of £150 per session for an approx 90 min session.

Payment in advance via invoice, valid up to 1 year.

Supervision for Managers/Nominated Individuals

As a registered manager you know the importance of supervision, all your staff are supervised on a regular basis, but who supervises you?

This support might appeal to a registered manager who is also the nominated individual and who has no direct support.

Many registered managers work alone and do not directly report to anyone. This means that all decision-making, strategic planning, and the day-to-day running of the business falls on them. Regulation 18 of The Health and Social Care Act 2008, states that all staff, including registered managers, should receive supervision to support them to carry out their role and responsibilities. Therefore, if the registered manager does not receive effective supervision, there is a risk that the service will not meet the CQC expectations of being “Well-led”.

HCPA are now offering Supervision for Registered Managers. You will be able to meet with someone who knows the sector, understands the challenges on a practical and emotional level, and can offer real support and guidance when needed. You will be able to reflect on working practice and access vital support to ensure you meet your targets and avoid burnout.

Our offer includes 5 x supervisions a year, to have bi-monthly, and an annual appraisal at the end of the year. By actively engaging in HCPA’s Supervision for Managers programme, you are demonstrating that you take your own professional development seriously and can demonstrate on-going CPD.

Grow your business
